I have found a real rarity - a lady who works in wood and she is a cross stitcher! Jo Freeman (with help from her long suffering husband Phil) has made these lovely items for the CSG. She uses wood from managed sources and is a real perfectionist.

The Ivory Inch

The ivory inch has been hand crafted from an old piano key - we get our broken or cracked piano keys from various piano restorers, who are glad that we can put them to such good use! Each one is different and is marked to show one inch- ideal for checking the fabric thread count!

Double Decker Wooden Thread Tree

Another exquisite wooden product from Jo Freeman, our lady wood turner. Some stitchers felt that our single decker version was not big enough! Jo has worked her magic and hand turned this double version for us. In old oak with a useful tray in the base.
