Come and join us (Jane & Bill Greenoff) for our stitching holiday in April 2009. Download the booking form (PDF).
After the wonderful holiday to Norway last year, I was a bit worried that we could not follow such a good trip but I was wrong! I think this is going to be just brilliant. This time, we are away for eight days with seven nights B & B included and much more!
We have tried to keep the price as low as possible but have been hampered by the Euro value and the cost of diesel. There will, however be no fuel or exchange rate surcharges added to your bill. The only extras will be if we think of a treat long the way and it would be optional.
Saturday 18th April 2009
Pick ups at Fairford, London and Folkestone prior to travelling to the shuttle and onwards for the night in Rheims. Details of the pick ups etc will follow nearer the time.
Sunday 19th April
Travel by coach to Sindelfingen (near Stuttgart) for our overnight stay prior to spending a day at the Zweigart factory
Monday 20th April 2009
Visit to Zweigart factory to meet our host, Sales Director, Rainer Steimann for a tour of the threads, looms, and design studio, followed by a talk by Creative Director, Barbara Kreibich. This will be followed by lunch and as much time as you need in their marvellous factory shop!
Monday evening
We have a really special treat - we are repeating the very special wine tasting evening that some of you will remember on our last visit. The winery will host a many course meal with all the wines included. Rainer & Barbara will interpret for us so that we know what we tasting. We will spend that night at the Plaza Hotel in Heilbronn prior to driving to Wuppertal the next day
Tuesday 21st April
We travel to the very interesting city of Wuppertal and have two nights at the lovely Art Fabrik Hotel Wednesday 22nd April
Join the lovely team at Vaupel & Heilenbeck where we will see the fascinating old looms which weave the decorative linen band for which they are famous. We will have lunch with them and be offered more beautiful linen band than you can imagine! We plan to have supper out that evening with our hosts somewhere in Wuppertal.
Thursday 23rd April
Travel to Bruges for two night bed and breakfast prior to our journey home
Friday 24th April
We have a blissful free day in the beautiful city of Bruges and our hotel is central so that you can wander to your heart’s content. We will dispense street maps so that you can visit all the cross stitch, knitting and embroidery shops in the city (if there is any more room for shopping!)
Saturday 25th April
Travel back to the coast and stop for a supermarket sweep and lunch at Cite Europe prior to travelling back to London and Fairford. As I am sure you all know, these trips fill very quickly so if you are planning to join us, please book quickly – as always, we will operate a first come first served basis and will keep a waiting list.
Cost per person sharing a twin room £795
Cost per person in single room £995 (As on previous trips we are sorry about the size of the single supplement – we have already beaten them down by £50, but it is seven hotel nights and we will operate the option to share a room again if you want to keep the difference to spend elsewhere)
The costs include: seven nights bed and breakfast (including hot and cold buffet), Malcolm and his new luxury coach, return travel on the Shuttle, lunch on two days, the special wine tasting evening, all classes and materials, road tolls and the undivided attention of Jane & Bill Greenoff!
What is not included: Meals other than mentioned, holiday insurance (please make sure that you have some) and your spending money!

Christmas Stitching
Sorry Fully Booked
This weekend filled up in ten days but we are taking names for the waiting list.
We have managed to arrange a Christmas Stitching Weekend at the Hilton Hotel, Newbury North. (very near junction 13 of the M4). Hilton Special Events have worked very hard behind the scenes to get this weekend sorted for us and we are really thrilled as this is a very busy time of year in hotels, being the beginning of the Christmas party season.
If you have never attended one of our events this might be the perfect opportunity - whether you come alone or with a friend you will have a wonderful time. Have a look at comments on the Forum - you can see what I mean!
Our weekend begins with a drinks reception at 7pm Friday night and ends with lunch on Sunday. Prices include two drinks receptions, dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights, light lunch on Saturday, roast lunch on Sunday, all tuition, classes and materials. This is a very special rate for this weekend - I cannot promise that we will beable to repeat this in 2009! There may be additional car park charges - something over which we have no control (I will try to get details before the event)
CSG Member £209.00 per person sharing a twin room
Non Member £225.00 per person sharing a twin room
Single Supplement £10.00 per night per person
You can book bed and breakfast for Sunday night for only £40.00 per person if you wish to travel home on Monday.
Events & Classes 2009
We are in the process of negotiating with Hilton Hotels in order to offer four Together We Stitch Weekends in 2009 and as soon as I have some dates and venues, the information will be posted here. Our hotel events in 2008 are all full with waiting lists, so you know that they are popular!

Our weekends take place within the hotels so the accommodation is of a high standard, with added attractions such as swimming pools. Your level of skill doesn't matter - the weekends are designed to cater for all levels of ability and experience. Our weekends include themed stitching projects, demonstrations, discussions, problem-solving sessions, competitions, prizes and shopping.
Jane Greenoff's linen Classes at Pinks Barn
My linen classes are intended for all skill levels and abilities, with the projects selected to develop existing skills and also perhaps to learn new ones. Classes include hemstitching and Hardanger and I always offer a choice of fabrics with your eyesight in mind. As with all our CSG events, my classes are not intended to be competitive and everyone has chance to work at their own speed. All classes are limited to ten people and are very informal. All you need to bring is the correct glasses and a sense of humour!
Prices are per person and include coffee, tea and biscuits, light lunch with wine, all materials and tuition. The fee is taken in full when you reserve a place.
We can supply a list of B&B venues if you would like to make a weekend
of it! Contact us form more information.
